What a wonder about it
Patong Beach is everything you see in Thai tour brochures. Warm turquoise water laps at the tender sand and there are palm trees around to relax. With a huge selection of beach bars, golf equipment and restaurants, you can get away with cocktails, bloodless beer or some local Thai delicacies at the same time. It is ideal for daytime classes and lively nights, or for that moment in 2 when the sun is setting over the sea.
If you’re looking for movement and travel, jet skis can be heard zipping across the water and enjoying the banana boat rides around the beach. If nightlife is a hobby for you, then you should check out the areas closest to the beach. One such place is Bangla Road, in which clubs pump the track at night and you can do the whole thing, from dancing at night to gorging on delicious Thai road food. It is a seaside vacation spot with nightlife to rival Bangkok.
What’s the catch
When a beach is this popular, it comes with its own drawbacks. One of them is the crowd. Each of the tourists and carriers will come to the beach and then sell you everything from sunglasses to shiny coconuts or tattoos. And because most human beings roam the coast, it is in danger of becoming dirty. So, look at your home turf and don’t be disturbed! You need to get creative with your angles to take the appropriate Insta moment.
Should you stay there?
